Biography
Born in Male', Maldives, Faiz's interest in art began early in life.​ He uses the expressive potential of impressionistic painting to pay tribute to the God-given beauty and culture of the Maldives, portraying it's tranquility in the changing scenes, lifestyles and infrastructure of Male' city and the islands.
He is mostly a self-taught artist, although his artistic journey began with a solid foundation in art in his early years.
He uses loose, expressive brush strokes, and vivid colors, to bring seascapes, landscapes and lively city streets bathed in warm sunlight, to life, with a sense of vibrance.
It is his hope that his paintings, whether displayed in private collections or exhibited in galleries, serve as reminders of the profound beauty of Maldives and it's unique culture.
